Itinerary

• Day : 1 Arrive in the at Delhi’s International Airport

  Today you will arrive in the at Delhi’s International Airport. Following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, a representative will meet you as you exit the arrival terminal building and will escort you to coach Parking where you will be welcomed with floral garlands which is considered auspicious and a mark of respect to our guest here in India. After ceremonial welcome you will be transferred to your hotel (Check-in time is 1500 Hours and early check-in would be subject to availability).
  
  India’s capital and a major gateway to the country, contemporary Delhi is a bustling metropolis, which successfully combines in its folds - the ancient with the modern. Amidst the fast-spiraling skyscrapers the remnants of a bygone time in the form of its many monuments stand as silent reminders to the region’s ancient legacy. The first impressions for any visitor travelling in from the airport are of a specious, garden city, tree-lined with a number of beautiful parks.
  
  After check in at the hotel, relax to get free from jet lag.

• Day : 2 DELHI SIGHTSEEING

  After breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed for sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi
  
  You will first visit Old Delhi. The tour will begin with a visit to Raj Ghat, a simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. Our next stop will be the Red Fort – drive past only (Closed on Mondays), one of the most spectacular pieces of Mughal Architecture. Built by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan between 1638 and 1648, the Red Fort has walls extending up to 2 Kms in length with the height varying from 18 mts. Continue to visit the Jama Masjid, one of Asia’s largest mosques. It was the last architectural extravaganza of the Mughal Emperor; Shahjahan built in the year 1656 AD with the help of 5,000 craftsmen. It was made across the road from the Red Fort. The mosque is also known as Masjid-I-Jahanuma, which means 'mosque commanding view of the world'. The mosque has the capacity to hold as many as 25,000 devotees.
  
  You will then board cycle rickshaws through narrow lanes of busy Old bazaar called Chandni Chock or silver’s street to drive past Red Fort - overlooking the river Jamuna was built during the years 1638 - 48 when the Mughal Empire was at its peak.
  
  Lunch at local restaurant
  
  Later start the tour of New Delhi, which reflects the legacy the British left behind.

• Day : 3 DELHI – AGRA

  Agra in terms of ambiance is still associated with its Mughal period. The Mughals besides being great rulers were also great builders and they preserved their best architectural wonders for Agra & its neighbourhood. It has many wonderful monuments and the Taj Mahal, the greatest of them all, is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture at its best. The massive but elegant Agra Fort, the delicate artistry of Itimad-ud-daulah’s tomb, the magnificent Taj and Akbar’s deserted capital, Fatehpur Sikri, are each unique and outstanding. Their architectural genius can also be seen in the forts, palaces and aesthetically laid out gardens - each one a silent witness to a grand style of a golden era.
  
  Upon arrival proceed for check-in at your hotel.
  
  Later afternoon, you will proceed for sightseeing tour of Agra. You will start your tour with visit to Agra Fort, an outstanding example of Mughal architecture. Agra Fort - the seat and the stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. This was the seat of Mughal rule and administration and the present structure owes its origins to Akbar who erected the walls and gates and the first buildings on the eastern banks of Yamuna River. Shah Jehan added the impressive quarters and the mosque while Aurangzeb added the outer ramparts. Visit its Hall of Public Audience and its Royal Pavilions.
  
  Later proceed for visit to Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays) by sunset. The Taj Mahal is everything that has been said about it and more. Taking 22 years and 20,000 men to build, the white marble was quarried 200 miles away and was transported to the site by a fleet of 1000 elephants. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as an expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, in mid 17th century, the Taj Mahal is truly one of the wonders of the world. Though the Taj appears to be amazingly perfect from almost any angle, it is the close-up marble inlay work, which is really astounding. You will have ample time to view and be mesmerized by this outstanding piece of architecture.

• Day : 4 AGRA – BHARATPUR - RANTHAMBORE

  After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to Ranthambhore (300 KMS / 07 hours) en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri.
  
  Fatehpur Sikri - the deserted red sandstone city that was built by the Great Mughal Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace in the late 16th century. It was the capital of the Mughal Empire for only some 10 years and was abandoned soon after it was built when the local wells went dry. It remains today in much the same condition that it was over 300 years ago. It is complete with palaces and mosques and used to be a town larger than London when it was originally constructed. Upon arrival you will visit the Panch Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Aam, Jama Masjid & Buland Darwaja.
  
  After your visit, you will be driven to Laxmi Niwas Palace, Bharatpur (Heritage hotel) for your lunch. Post lunch, you will be transferred to Bharatpur Railway Station to board your train to Sawai Madhopur Railway Station (Ranthambhore)
  
  On arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Ranthambhore National Park is a prime example of the Project Tiger conservation project’s success, as it is renowned for its tiger population.
  
  Remainder of the day at leisure.

• Day : 5 RANTHAMBORE - JAIPUR

  Early morning, explore Ranthambhore National Park on Open canter safari.
  
  Ranthambhore is located in what was originally the private hunting ground of the maharajas of Jaipur. The park features a varied geography of forested hills, sweeping grasslands and lakes, all under the shadow of the ruins of the hilltop Ranthambhore Fort, more than 200 metres above the surrounding plain. The park’s Bengal tigers are renowned for being fearless and roaming the park during the day. Other residents include leopards, striped Hyenas, sambar and chital deer, jackals, sloth bears, wild boars and more.
  
  Return to your hotel for breakfast and relax. Early lunch at hotel and check-out. Later you will drive to Jaipur (180 Kms/3.5 hours)
  
  Jaipur's past is never too far from hand. The city of victory, Jaipur presides over the fascinating desert state and its people: surrounded by rugged hills, each crowned by a formidable fort; and beautiful palaces, mansions and gardens dotted throughout its precincts. The palaces and forts of yesteryear that were witness to royal processions and splendour are now living monuments, accepted quite naturally into the lifestyles of the people of the "pink city". There is a timeless quality to Jaipur's bazaars and its people. With its historical past, Jaipur revives legends of the ancient Rajputs.

• Day : 6 JAIPUR SIGHTSEEING

  After breakfast in the hotel you will be driven just outside Jaipur to the ancient capital of Amber to see the fabulous Amber Fort.
  
  Maharaja Mansingh, Mughal Emperor Akbar’s most successful General, started the construction of Amber Fort in the 17th century. Before the City Palace was constructed in Jaipur, Amber was the seat of power. An elephant /Jeep will spare you the trouble of reaching up to the fortress (Elephant ride is subject to availability) once on top, stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls. Many of the rooms have delightful wall paintings, with precious stones and mirrors inlaid in the walls. Most fascinating, perhaps, is the Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors) where a single lamplight is reflected in the many mirrors, lighting up the room.
  
  Also visit the Jal Mahal – photo point while returning to city. Later you will visit the City Palace, which is an overwhelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards, decorative art and carved doorways. The palace museum houses collections of rare manuscripts, armoury, costumes, carpets and miniature paintings. Walk to the adjacent Jantar Mantar or Astronomical Observatory made by the Maharaja of Jaipur, built in 1726 and is one of the five such astronomical wonders built by Sawai Jai Singh and makes accurate predictions even to this day.
  
  Proceed for lunch at local restaurant
  Later visit to see the `Palace of Winds’, otherwise known as Hawa Mahal. It is really an elaborate facade behind which the ladies of the court used to watch the daily goings on in the street below. It is extremely intricate in its pink sandstone carving.
  
  
  
  The cool wind blows through its facade of windows and latticed screens through which the queens of the court once viewed the streets of the city. Walk through local bazaar, explore the exquisite work on gems and pearls, blue pottery.

• Day : 7 JAIPUR - DEOGARH

  After breakfast, check-out and you will be driven to Deogarh (270 KMS /06 hours)
  
  Deogarh Mahal is an imposing structure built in the 17th century, now converted to an heritage hotel. It stands atop a hill and offers a commanding view of the Aravalli mountain range and the numerous lakes, strewn across the countryside. Centuries in the making, Deogarh’s history begins far before the majestic palace was ever built. Even at first glance,it's obvious that Deogarh Mahal has been an integral part of the Mewar aristocracy and heritage, passed down from many Rawats, a local title equivalent to Raja, to be used as a personal residence and fort.
  
  Upon arrival at Deogarh, check-in at your hotel. Lunch at hotel
  
  Later evening, proceed for jeep drives through the countryside seeing the villages
  
  Rural Ramble - The Rural Ramble is a drive through a pastoral setting where one explores the natural surroundings with people tending to their fields and cattle and living in complete harmony with nature. We visit a cave temple –a cavernous rock in which is a shrine of Lord Shiva is ensconced. The top of this rock offers a panoramic view of the landscape of black volcanic rocks interspersed with green fields. The drive then leads to a lake side where refreshments are served . These lakes attract a lot of the local migratory birds and small animals that are lovely to watch with the sun set as a backdrop.

• Day : 8 DEOGARH – UDAIPUR

  After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven Udaipur en-route visit to famous Ranakpur temple.
  
  Ranakpur Jain Temples, an exceptionally beautiful excursion through the rugged, wooded hills of Rajasthan to the Jain Temples of Ranakpur in the Aravalli Valley, to see one of the best complexes of Jain religion, which is particularly noted for the grandiose scale of its architecture and the highly decorated ceilings, walls and 1444 Lunch at local restaurant
  
  After your visit continue your drive to Udaipur.
  
  
  
  Rajasthan is romantic with tales of valour and chivalry, and a history that brings to life forts and palaces and court intrigues. But Udaipur is different - an interlude for the diehard romantics. A splash of colour in colourful Rajasthan that's brighter, tinged with the tones of local legends and lores. Here are lakes that come as a surprise in sandy Rajasthan, and forested hills where wildlife still abounds. And in the lakes or by their edges are palaces straight out of fairy tales, each more beautiful than the other. For in Udaipur the past lives and breathes with the present.
  
  Upon arrival at Udaipur, check-in at your hotel. Later evening you will proceed to Samor Bagh, Udaipur to witness the spectacular traditional Rajasthani dance show – 60 minutes, followed by group will take local rickshaws to drive towards the lake pichola for dinner in local restaurant. (Lakeside restaurant)

• Day : 9 UDAIPUR

  After breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed for a sightseeing tour of Udaipur City.
  
  First visit the vast and exquisite City Palace, a well-fortified, majestic white monument. The main entrance, a triple-arched gate named the Tripolia, was built in 1725 and is a marvel. The Suraj Gokhada, the Balcony of the Sun, where the Suryavanshi Maharanas of Mewar presented themselves in times of trouble to the people to restore their confidence, is also a fascinating sight.
  
  Visit Jagdish Temple, a 16th-century temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, it is the largest and most splendid temple in Udaipur. Take a cruise on Lake Pichola to visit Jag Mandir Palace, which covers almost four acres and is noted for its marble pavilion and an imposing dome. You’ll see people doing their laundry on the shores of the lake against the backdrop of the massive City Palace and the old city.
  
  Drive past Fateh Sagar Lake and visit Sahelion-ki-Bari - the Garden of the Maids-of-Honor, which has numerous fountains in four pools, embellished with delicately chiseled kiosks and elephants. The garden brings to the fore the unique lifestyle of the royal ladies, who once strolled through these gardens.

• Day : 10 DEPARTUTRE FROM DELHI

  After early breakfast at the hotel, in time check-out of rooms and you will be transferred to International airport for your flight back home
